Acoustic Flooring

Impact sound, transmitted directly between floors, can be significantly reduced with the use of our acoustic underlay, Amadeus Impact Mat (AIM).

Most frequently used to reduce impact or airborne sound insulation in both commercial and industrial situations, Amadeus Impact Mat is an easy to fit composite comprising of a resilient Class '0' acoustic foam layer, sandwiched between 2 sheets of 5kg/m² or 10kg/m² sound deadening barrier mat made from semi-rigid rubber.

Our acoustic underlay is fire-rated, and can be cut to size with a sharp knife to be easily installed by way of staggered joints, so the panels can be laid directly onto the sub-floor with the finished floor system secured directly over top.

It is currently available in 2 thicknesses, known as AIM 15 and the higher density AIM 18.
