Music Studios into a Listed Building – Can this be achieved ?
YES of course if you come to Amadeus Acoustic Solutions.

In 2009, Amadeus met with the Bursar of Dover College, who explained the problem they had in providing a new music department.  Dover College did not have enough land or building space other than listed buildings for this vibrant department to go into.  On discussion with Amadeus the College realised that the Modular Music Studio option would fit perfectly into the Headmasters house.

As it was a listed building, specific planning permission had to be obtained, but as the modular rooms did not touch the actual fabric of the building and can be moved at any time in the future, the planners were happy.

Thus Dover College were able to go ahead with their new music department.  PROBLEM SOLVED!

Unfortunately the Headmaster had to move into the house next door, but he was more than happy to do so.  The Tallis Music School, was opened by Julian Lloyd Webber, in February 2011 he commented how lovely the rooms were and that he would love to have one in his home.
We hope so in future – you never know what will happen next!
