Amadeus reaches new heights with The Royal Northern College of Music

Amadeus Acoustic Solutions reached new heights with BOXY E-Level rooms at The Royal Northern College of Music. For this BOXY room installation we needed to crane the prefabricated music studios over the roof of the Royal Northern College of Music and onto a platform for loading into the new studio suite.

20 METRES UP AND 10 METRES ACROSS!!! (otherwise know as an up and over)

All materials carefully lowered into the courtyard

Materials at rest- waiting for their positioning

Below we see the framework of the E- Level BOXY rooms starting to be fixed together; as these music studios are prefabricated in the factory, installation time is minimal, each room took 1.5 days to complete.

There is minimal mess or disruption, which makes the construction a very clean and pleasant experience when compared to a more traditional or  ‘wet’ build studio construction.

Here we see the finished floor and acoustic absorption panels have been installed, the studio is almost complete now.  Bespoke panel fabrics as chosen by our client – very chic, very cool!

All that is left to install is the highly rated acoustic glass for the fully glazed door, pictured below.

End user/Testimonial

“The pods have allowed us to make use of space that was previously unsuitable for practice due to its close proximity to the Opera Theatre stage. Because of their excellent sound isolating properties we have also been able to create a meeting room adjacent to them, another benefit that would not have been possible had we had opted for standard room construction. Longer term, if required, the pods could be disassembled, moved and re-erected, potentially saving many thousands of pounds when compared to providing/re-providing a traditional ‘box-in-box’ arrangement.”
