Client Feedback
Oxford University, Music Faculty
I found liaison staff to be organized, and extremely helpful in terms of thoroughly briefing the Faculty on the installation and use of the new facilities. The work itself was completed as per schedule, and with minimal disruption to Faculty life. We believe the work to be of high quality, and have received very positive written feedback from our students on our refurbished practice block.

Cheadle Hulme School
Our new modular practice room is splendid! Staff love teaching in it. This is a first class product both acoustically and from an aesthetic stand point. The smart, contemporary design has enhanced an otherwise ordinary area. I cannot fault the management of the project from the initial consultation with Amadeus to the design and installation of the room. Excellent!

Dragon School
With the prospect of building a new music school receding, it was necessary to seek some interim improvement to our cramped and out-moded facilities. From the first visit to Italy to view the Boxy modular rooms it was clear that here was a product that would not only provide the immediate (and cost effective) up-grade we needed but would also shape our future thinking. Once we had agreed some basic criteria the design process was slick, consultations were comprehensive and courteous and, when it came to the construction, marvelously swift and efficient. The modular rooms themselves are quite simply superb, with very little sound transference or leakage, and the whole building feels light and airy despite there being only four windows in the portakabin shell. The controlled environment in each room is comfortable and the décor attractive. Staff and pupils are delighted with the facility and there is a good deal more practice being done than before their arrival! We certainly intend these rooms to be a central feature of the permanent build in the future.

Stockport Music Service, Offerton School
The panels are working out fine thanks, with lots of good comments about the acoustics. All our regular groups rehearse with great success ... the Stockport Symphony Orchestra (for which I play principal trumpet) no longer has problems with “brass delay” in our usual performance space.
All in all, I think it’s safe to say that it’s working well and has been well received by all.Craig Eastwood of Stockport Music Service

Stonyhurst College
Our school had a suite of 16 practice rooms built in the early 1900's, part wood and part glass, totally unsoundproof! As part of a review of the department it was recommended that we look at modular practice rooms as a viable alternative. Out of the three quotes the Boxy quote was the most comprehensive, easiest to sort out and came with the personal touch of a visit from John Locke. Throughout the process John has been extremely helpful, in constant touch and always available for queries and reassurance. John and Claudio visited the school in the planning stages and were able to make really useful suggestions as to placement and size of the rooms. Once ordered the whole process was dealt with professionally, everything arrived when they said it would, Claudio Lamberini and the team worked superbly well to build the five rooms in five days, and took a real pride in their work. After sales communication is superb with regular e mails and visits to check on progress and help with questions. We are now the proud owners of five superb modular practice rooms. They are used for teaching, practising, rehearsing and recording. They are easy to use and maintain, the pupils and staff queue up to use them and they look fantastic, a real benefit to the department. I would recommend Boxy Practice Rooms to anyone who is looking to provide modern, well built and appointed rooms which are virtually soundproof, delightful to use and great to look at.

Dover College
Dover College being situated in a Scheduled Ancient Monument, the options for creating a new Music School were limited to converting a former residence on the site. From the outset it was clear that creating an acoustically satisfactory environment within a Victorian building was going to prove extremely costly, with no guarantee of success. Consequently, Amadeus were approached to assist in finding a solution.
Notwithstanding the challenges presented by meeting current building regulations in the conversion, including strengthening of joists and satisfying the Disability Discrimination Act, Amadeus quickly provided a viable and attractive option through the installation of five acoustic pods in existing rooms. At the design stage they provided invaluable input and, as plans matured, they answered a myriad of technical questions about subjects as diverse as weight loading on floors to appropriate fire alarm systems and ventilation. Their input included suggestions for optimising the layout, resulting in more efficient use of space.
The whole project entailed integrating building works with pod installation so that each element of the programme could proceed without interfering with the other, with all installation work being completed during the summer holidays and with the hope of good weather. The process was complicated by very tight access and the need to transport all of the components up one floor.
When the pre-fabricated parts arrived from Italy, it was raining persistently. However, a quick re-evaluation of the optimum configuration for unloading was soon completed and in short order a tele-loader was removing pallet loads of metal and glass panels onto the front garden. The 4-man team from Italy, led by Claudio Lambrini, the founder and chief engineer of Boxy Lab srl – the manufacturers of the pods – worked twelve hour days with the UK-based staff from Amadeus without let-up (including a bank holiday weekend) to assemble the pods. They integrated seamlessly with the building contractors, who were able to continue their work without interruption. Throughout, John Locke and Anne Holliday from Amadeus were frequent visitors, trouble-shooting and enabling the swiftest possible completion of the build. In the end, the team was on site for just six days, during which they erected five pods. Only the final wiring, undertaken by a sub-contractor, remained for completion. It was a remarkable master-class in programming efficiency and, above all, dedication. I am absolutely certain that Dover College's musicians will benefit from and enjoy the state-of-the-art solution that Amadeus and Boxy have provided for our new Music School. The resulting enhancement of our facilities will have far reaching consequences for the school.

Bedstone College
Amadeus gave us the confidence that what we had seen elsewhere could be recreated at Bedstone College to provide the music department with five state of the art sound proof practice rooms in an attractive and well-finished environment. Additional confidence was gained from knowing that John would not only oversee the project personally but that once the project was complete he would not just disappear off the scene but return to the College to review the performance of the rooms A complete customer service rarely delivered in this day and age. I would thoroughly recommend Amadeus to you.
Adrian Gore, Bursar
Thank you for the fantastic job that you have done in providing us with these pods. They are quite remarkable and have revolutionised the way that we teach and won converts whenever they have been seen.

Glasgow Music Studios
Glasgow is a vibrant musical city supporting many live music venues, acts and performers. There is a demand for quality rehearsal and recording facilities across the city. This was where I saw a gap in the market and decided to carry out some research into what musicians wanted? It was concluded that the most important thing to musicians was 'quality of sound.' Glasgow Music Studios Ltd. will provide top quality rehearsal studio space for musicians in Glasgow. We will be also using the studios for private tutoring and workshops for young people (Summer 2011 onwards). Our aim was to provide high quality music studios suitable for all ages and genres of musicians within Glasgow. We wanted to provide a high standard and strong brand identity. Our main aim was to offer superior customer service and quality. We choose Amadeus and Boxy Rooms as they are state of the art studios (first of their kind in Scotland!). With precision design the studios we will attract acts and musicians from all over Glasgow. The Amadeus and Boxy rooms allow us to build a strong brand identity based on quality. We felt the fit between Glasgow Music Studios Ltd. and Amadeus and Boxy was very suitable. We had 3 studios installed all now stocked with top quality musical instruments. There are plans for extending the studios next year to accommodate a recording suite and extra rehearsal room. Amadeus Acoustics Solutions have been both helpful and professional throughout the process of building our studios. Both Anne and John helped me over come many initial obstacles along the way with setting up the studios, no problem was too big or too small, they always helped in a positive and focused manner. The organisation, fitting and installing of the studios was second to none with everything done to agreed timescales and to an extremely high quality. They had a genuine interest in helping make my project a success. I felt we were part of a team working together to achieve the same goal - creating the perfect sound. I will be using Amadeus and Boxy for all my future studio installations.

Bede Sixth Form College
We put the new room through its paces today with a full band and everything went excellently. The room was completely sound proof - we were able for the first time to monitor everything through our monitors without them being coloured by spill from the live room; the results were stunning. The acoustics in the room are very flattering to every acoustic instrument that we recorded (including drums, acoustic guitars, mandolins, bass guitar, electric guitar and vocals). I couldn't be more pleased. The Principal visited during the recording session and was very pleased with the results. We also had an impromptu visit from the Chair of Governors who was stunned at the new room and also at the speed at which it had been assembled (he simply could not believe that it had been built from the ground up in just two days). Thank you very much for this room, it does exactly what I hoped it would.

Langley School
Despite being presented with an extremely challenging timescale and a number of major acoustic issues to address, Amadeus provided a fully project managed solution throughout all the stages of the recording studio construction, all the while keeping the school fully informed at all stages. The project was completed on schedule within cost to the agreed specification. It was very refreshing to deal with a company that fully understood our needs and were committed to ensuring full customer satisfaction. The knowledge and expertise of Amadeus has resulted in the development of a high specification, professional recording studio which is benefiting teaching and learning in all areas of the school curriculum.

South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band
The South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band purchased 75 folding music stands.
As a voluntary band totally dependant on our own fundraising, cost was obviously a major factor in our purchasing decisions. Amadeus listened to our requirements for music stands and quickly came up with a good and cost effective solution. Delivery was quick and efficient and the product has significantly enhanced the professional appearance of the band.

Sydenham High School Opus 1 Chairs
Having suffered from a bad back for years, and having sat on Opus chairs in rehearsal studios and on concert platforms, I finally bought one for my personal use at home. It has made such a difference to the way I sit, not only to rehearse, but also at my desk when working and even for playing the piano on! The greatest benefit to me is the support it gives my back and the way it makes me sit in a good position, yet provides the freedom of movement for both singing and playing. The bonus is that I can also use my Opus 1 for working at my computer, something which in the past has caused back pain but now no longer does. Thank you for your help and advice Adam, I can thoroughly recommend Opus 1.

King Edward's School Witley Acoustic Panel treatment to walls of School Dining Hall
The effect of a limited amount of acoustic panels you supplied and installed to the dining hall walls has certainly taken the edge off the noise and has made a significant and reasonably low cost contribution to the renovation project. Setting the panels out to flow through the colour range has also proved to be successful and popular."
